Racism and Bigotry is an important part of our lives.
It was instilled in us at a very young age.
More than likely as a cultural failsafe.
I do not believe that there is anything wrong with it.
We all share in them to some degree.
Now, before every bleeding heart out there goes off the deep end and demands that I recant my statement, let me explain.
Just because someone is a racist or a bigot, that does not mean that they can act on those beliefs.
They are bound by the same laws, duties, and responsibilities as the rest of us.
If I believe an individual is inferior to me or my caste, it is my right as a sovereign citizen of this country and guaranteed by its own Bill of Rights.
Now that being said, if I act on those same beliefs, I deserve to be punished for them. It is still wrong
( legally, ethically, and morally ) to act on our bigotries. We all are protected by the same Bill of Rights.
For example:
I can believe a homosexual person to be inferior to me but that does NOT give me the right to beat or degrade them at all.
The same laws that allow and guarantee my racism and bigotry binds me.
As it should.
The only reason I'm blogging this is because I'm sick of every bleeding heart trying to legislate my ethics, morality, feelings, and thoughts.
I will not be obligated to like an individual for whatever reason. I choose. I decide.
Also I will not tolerate anyone who acts upon their impulses of their bigotries.
Where I may not like an individual based on their color, religion, beliefs, sexual orientation, or creed,
that doesn't mean I'm going to beat them or degrade them. Hell, I won't tolerate anyone else to do it either. We all adhere to the rules or they mean nothing to nobody.
I might hate my neighbors, but that doesn't mean that I'll stand by and let them be mugged.
